Italy is CHARMING!! As a matter of fact, yacht charter in Italy is exceptionally popular this summer and the most attractive area to cruise is indisputably the Amalfi coast! Situated almost in the middle of the West Italian Coast, 100 miles from Rome, the Costiera Amalfitania and the nearby islands of Capri and Ischia, along with the even smaller Procida are the cruising ground of our Amalfi Coast Yacht Charter.
This week’s Super Yacht of the Week takes us to the home of luxury yacht charters, the West Mediterranean. LADY DIA is a sensational Ferretti Custom Line 124, offering 12 guests the opportunity to cruise the French and Italian Rivieras in unrivalled comfort, style and sophistication!
For over 40 years, the Seychelles National Parks Authority (SNPA) has been taking care of some of the most pristine waters in Asia….the marine national parks of the Seychelles! The Seychelles are easily accessible nowadays, with regular international flights from South Africa, Asia and the Middle East flying into the main island of Mahe. The other main island, Praslin, is about 4-5 hours sailing to the north, or you can take the fast catamaran service to start your Seychelles yacht hire in Praslin.
Capri is one of the ultimate summer holiday destinations, offering unrivalled style, sophistication and sunsets on your yacht charter Amalfi Coast. With something new to explore and experience every single day, you will return home with a box of memories and a long list of desires to ensure that you have to go back!
The tiny port of Amalfi is much adored for its charm and relaxing atmosphere. Amalfi is a very pretty little town in a spectacular setting, wedged between the sea and the mountains with a fascinating history. Between the ninth and 12th centuries, it was a proud and glorious maritime republic with a population of 80,000. If you abandon the busy main streets and climb up into the maze of shrunken, tunnel-like side alleys and steep stairways, you will step back in time to the Middle Ages. There you will find boutique shops, cafés and restaurants and sample some of the Amalfitana specialties, such as limoncello and delicate pastries.
The tried and tested charter destinations in Europe; the Amalfi Coast, Ibiza, and the French Riviera to name but a few, are as popular and magnificent as ever. For those of you looking to get off the beaten path however, look no further than Thailand. Full-moon parties still attract young travellers in their hundreds but away from Kho Phangan, you’ll find untouched, white sandy beaches and blissful tranquillity.
Some of you will have read about political unrest, but rest assured, the nation has returned once more to being a peaceful, paradise in the Andaman Sea. Even during the coup, tourist hot spots remained popular and unaffected as flights and charters all went ahead as normal. Now the coup is over, there is no further unrest and travellers should have no hesitation in visiting this stunning country.

Day 6 of the world famous Cannes Film Festival sees the premiere of Takashi Miike’s ‘Wara No Tate,’ ‘Shield of Straw.’ The film is set in Tokyo and evidently lives up to Takashi Miike’s dark and sadistic nature with plenty of violence and gore throughout. It begins with a convicted child rapist and murderer who has recently been released from prison committing a cruel murder of an innocent young girl. Consequently the girl’s wealthy and powerful grandfather, Tsutomu Yamazaki seeks immediate revenge by offering a sum of 1 billion Yen to anyone who manages to kill the prime suspect. Realising he is a dead man walking, the child killer, Kunihide Kiyomaru turns himself in to the police. As the plot thickens, five elite cops are assigned by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to escort Kiyomaru back to Tokyo for his trial. A dilemma unfolds; whom can they trust, can they trust themselves? Will human nature take its course and who will reap the reward? This film by Takashi Miike pushes varying boundaries of physical and mental emotions. Many questions are asked and as the body count of the innocent rises, it becomes more and more difficult to justify the suspects’ protection. This highly anticipated film will be showcased on Monday 20th at 8:30 and 22:30, 2013.
