Northern Sardinia is well-known as a sailor’s paradise, where you will find some of the dreamiest beaches and anchorages that remind you of an exotic Caribbean island! Sailing from Corsica, you can make your way through the idyllic Maddalena Archipelago and then down to the remarkable Costa Smerelda to see some of the world’s most beautiful natural coves and beaches.
The French call it l’Ile de Beauté (the beautiful island) and although this is an obvious choice of moniker it is also an accurate one. Its geographical position and varied landscape make it an ideal destination to bareboat charter Corsica. Corsica lies alongside the west, Tuscan coast of Italy, 200 km south of mainland France and just above the Italian island of Sardinia. What better playground for a holiday on a bareboat?

Sardinia is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. Located closer to Africa than Italy, the glittering, turquoise sea and dreamy, white sandy beaches rival anything you would see further afield. Begin your boat rental Sardinia from Portisco and sail along the Costa Smeralda.
One of the most beautiful bays in Corsica is Girolata, a beautiful fortified sanctuary found at the southernmost end of the Scandola Nature Reserve. It is one of the emblematic destinations of Corsica, often seen on the cover of many Corsica guide books. The dramatic setting, with the small village on a peninsula surrounded by the sea and running up the high mountains in the famous red rock of the region, make for a very impressive and scenic location. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind on anchor during your holiday!
