Cannes to Îles Lérins Yacht Charter Itinerary

Charter a Yacht from Cannes to the Iles Lerins

Map of Itinerary

For Cannes Day Charters, a Boatbookings Team and client favourite destination to visit is the historic Iles de Lérins and Cap d'Antibes, plus some unique views of the islands and Cannes itself. The islands are right off the coast from Cannes, but a world apart; a perfect picture of calmness, serenity and natural beauty. The following is an itinerary for your day charter in Cannes to enjoy the peaceful and historic Lerins Islands, away from the fast pace of Cannes.

Lerins Greenery

Embarkation from Cannes

Setting off at 10 am, embark from Cannes and make your way over to the two picturesque islands for a quick morning dip to start the day. A 15-minute boat ride will take you seemingly to a completely different world; Caribbean beauty paired with lush forests of Umbrella Pine and Eucalyptus trees. Jump into the inviting, turquoise water and, if you're feeling up to it, swim over to the island for a quick exploration.

The Iles de Lérins are made up of the Ile St Marguerite and the Ile St Honorat. Ile Ste Marguerite is the larger of the two; a national park home to the famous Fort Royal which held the Man in the Iron Mask whose identity still remains a mystery today. One of our top recommended restaurants is La Guerite on Ile St Marguerite!

Cruise past the beautifully calming scenes of nature before making your way out towards Cap d'Antibes, and take in the stunning views of the world famous Eden Roc Hotel nestled into the hillside.

For lunch, we thoroughly recommend taking in the dining experiences of Plage Joseph or Plage Keller for mouthwatering cuisine, excellent service and incomparable views - all with your feet buried in the soft, golden sand! After an amazing lunch on the beach, return to your boat via the tender service to relax and sunbathe.

Make your way back to the Lerins Islands for a late afternoon swim, and gaze across towards the beautiful architecture of the Lerins Abbey on the far side of Ile St Honorat. The history behind these structures stretches back to the 10th Century, and there is a group of Cistercian monks who have inhabited the island since the 11th Century; famous for their private vineyard, from which the monks make sumptuous organic wine.
