In early 2014, the Maldives government introduced new regulations for foreign visiting yachts. Previously, foreign yachts were only allowed to stay for 90 days, but this has now been extended to 180 days or more, making it a more attractive cruising destination for large charter yachts. Here are a a couple of yachts which will be in the Maldives later this year.

Having moved to Phuket 18 months ago after a full refit and completing several successful charters in Southeast Asia, this beautiful Broward 121 will be making its way to the Maldives in December. Trinity superyacht KERI LEE III is one of the most luxurious charter yachts to be found anywhere, with an amazing collection of water toys and entertainment facilities….2 jet skis, a gym, 10 person jacuzzi, sea bobs, kayaks, game fishing tender, water skis, dive compressor and a movie theatre in the sky lounge! She has spent the last 12 months in Thailand, is heading to Myanmar and Sri Lanka for October-November, and then moving south to the Maldives in December, before returning to the Mediterranean for the summer of 2015.
