Corporate Entertainment in Singapore Onboard a Luxury Yacht Charter

Singapore is well known as one of the most exciting and busy cities in the Far East. Home to a great marina, and some fantastic sights, a charter to host a corporate event is not only a great idea for the experience, but a great idea for your company as you can show your colleagues and clients some extraordinary sights whilst enjoying a meal and drinks from the splendour of the seas.

Events held on luxury yachts are far more impressive than just hiring another hotel meeting room. Luxury yachts are a fantastic way to entertain clients and to make a brilliant impression. During the day, yachts can act as an office and conference venue for meetings and presentations. In the evening, yachts are perfect for cocktail parties, formal dinners and other events. Not only do they give your corporate event that extra great feel, but it relieves stress on the client, as we organise the placement of the yacht, and help you to organise a smoothly run charter.

Singapore is well known for its cultural diversity, colonial history, world-class shopping and fantastic beaches, especially those found on Sentosa Island. It is also home to numerous high-class restaurants and the world’s only “Night Safari”, which houses more than 1,000 wild animals. A sailing cruise around the southern islands of Singapore, which offer spectacular views of the city skyline, is ideal for a corporate event yacht charter. Luxury yachts also offer a range of activities such as fishing, snorkelling, swimming and diving.
Chartering a yacht for corporate entertainment at the Singapore Grand Prix is becoming very popular. Many of the greatest yachts in Asia make their way to Singapore just for the race. The race circuit is just over 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) long, running adjacent to the harbour in the Marina Bay area. Only three other races in Formula One (the Monaco, Abu Dhabi and Valencia street circuits) run past a marina. However, Singapore stands out as the first night race in Formula One history. The timing of the race means that it can be broadcast live at a convenient time for European audiences.

Conclusion
Singapore is the perfect destination for a corporate entertainment event on a yacht, whether you want it during the Singapore Grand Prix, Chinese New Year, or just during the year for a conference meeting or to meet and greet with your colleagues and clients. Chartering a Luxury Event Yacht for the Chinese New Year in Singapore

Chartering a yacht in Singapore during Chinese New Year is a fantastic opportunity and promises to be a fascinating experience for everybody involved. Whether you are interested in large fireworks displays, street festivals, carnivals, live music, or the lighting of thousands of Chinese lanterns, Chinese New Year on a luxury yacht  is an experience not to be missed.

Chinese New Year (also know as Lunar New Year) is one of the biggest events celebrated by the Chinese community in Singapore. Around 75% of Singapore’s resident population are of Chinese origin, making them by far the largest ethnic group in Singapore. The next New Year (which will bring in the year of the snake) comes in on February 10th 2013.

Lagoon450The festivities begin on first day of the first month of the new Lunisolar calendar and last for 15 days. The Reunion dinner on the eve of the New Year is arguably the most important part of the celebrations. All of the family members will come together for a lavish meal with multiple courses, and the streets of Singapore come alive with parties and traditional music. During the festival, Chinatown and Boat Quay are full of street decorations, night markets, parties and dazzling lights. There are also plenty of dragon and lion dancers, and female dance groups in the main Kreta Ayer Square.

Check out one of our favourite Luxury Catamaran Corporate Event yachts for charters in Singapore is the Lagoon 450, which can take up to 27 guests. She would be the perfect companion to take your close friends and family on a day charter and to celebrate the New Year in style. Her extIndoor-entertaining-area-onboard-the-Lagoon-450erior is second to none, providing lots of space to relax and take in all that Singapore has to offer. She offers great flexibility to her guests and can do half day, as well as full day charters.

The Chingay Parade is the largest carnival in Singapore, with fantastic floats and thousands of dancers. Since 2009, it has been held in the pit area of the Marina Bay Grand Prix circuit, which is right on the marina waterfront, This allows the parade to accommodative maximum spectators in the Formula One grandstands and to include a long waterway that allows performers to show off their spectacular aquatic stunts. An estimated 150,000 spectators attended the Parade in 2009.

The River Hongbao, which takes place on the floating platform at Marina Bay and the Esplanade Waterfront Promenade, is another extremely popular event. This event is famous for being one of the largest displays of Chinese lanterns in Southeast Asia, and includes performances from both foreign and local artists. It is suggested that the lanterns symbolize the people letting go of their past selves and starting fresh for the New Year.

Chartering a Luxury Yacht in the Seychelles, Indian Ocean

The Seychelles is widely known as one of the world’s most picturesque and delightful destinations. The islands are collectively an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, consisting of around 115 islands, most of which are only temporarily inhabited, if at all. The archipelago is made up of two groups of islands, simply named the Inner Islands, and the Outer Islands. The Inner Islands are home to the Seychelles two largest islands, Mahé, which extends 27 km (17 mi) North to South and 11 km (7 mi) East to West, and Praslin. Between these two islands, a shuttle service is offered both by air and on the water.

Spread across 174 square miles is a population of 84,000 (2009 estimate), which makes the Seychelles the 60th most densely populated country in the world. People like to travel to the Seychelles all year round due to it’s constant sun and humidity, but rainfall plays a large factor. The months of December, January and February (to an extent), bring the most rain, where June, July and August are the most dry.

The inner islands offer safe and easy moorings with easy sailing distances. Mahé itself has 44 miles of coastline and over 65 beaches and coves for those wanting to escape the crowds. Our recommendations for scenic locations would include Baie Ternay, Beau Vallon, Anse Soleil and Anse Royale. If secrecy is the name of the game for your charter, you’ll definitely want to head to Anse Jasmin, Anse Du Riz and Petit Anse. From the main island of Mahé, be sure to sail by the twin islands of Cousin and Cousine before continuing to Praslin, which has 18 miles of coastline and plenty of gorgeous hideaways of it’s own.

The outer islands are both less developed and more remote, but hold no less beauty. These islands are more recommended for the experienced sailors and for crew, as the journeys between these islands require an extra amount of effort. The nearest group of Outer Islands to the Inner Islands are the Amirantes, 130 miles southwest of Mahé. The Outer Islands are made up of 5 groups of low-lying coral islands and reefs, which explains it’s difficulty for many a sailor.

Sampling the finest Caribbean Gastronomy on your Luxury Yacht Charter

CariThe Caribbean is often described as the crossroads of the world, thanks to the trade winds that lead many from all over the world to the British Virgin Islands. History has seen a succession of conquerors and cultures pass, bringing with them many distinctive foods, flavours and styles of cookery that remain very popular today.  The Arawaks were followed by the Caribs, who saw explorers and sea captains knock on their door as they travelled in the search of the New World. Colonists, settlers and descendants of Spanish, Dutch, English and French origin brought with them their respective cultures and cuisines. The East Indian population left their mark on the local cuisine with their distinctive curries [Colombos}, condiments [Chutneys] and Roti, which remain present to this day.

The African Slave population brought many exotic foodstuffs, such as Okra and Yams, as well as many greens, beans and roots. These ingredients combined with their cooking techniques and seasonings created Creole cookery and famous dishes such as Gumbo, which can be found all over the Caribbean and southern United States. Whilst browsing the Internet, we came across a fantastic recipe on the Sugar Apple Blog for a Spicy Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, which we thought we would share with you. The combination of the holy trinity [Celery/Bell Pepper/ Onion] with the spice of the chilli pepper, smoky sausage and okra is a match made in heaven!

Spicy Caribbean Chicken and Sausage Gumbo
1 pound okra, cut into 1/4? slices
6 tablespoons cooking oil
1 large green bell pepper, cored, seeded and diced
2 stalks celery, diced
2 medium onions, peeled and diced
1 scotch bonnet or other hot pepper, minced (optional)
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1 pound andouille sausage or smoked kielbasa, cut in half lengthways and cut crosswise into 1/2? slices
6 tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced OR 2 tins diced tomatoes
4 cups chicken stock
1 bay leaf
5-6 sprigs fresh thyme
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, trimmed of fat and cut into 1 1/2? cubes

Not much of a cook? Want your own private chef to cook you a taste of the Caribbean? Want to sample some of the best Caribbean cuisine on your own luxury yacht charter? We would love to make both of these things a reality and arrange an experience of a lifetime on a crewed catamaran, motor or sailboat. We have a great selection of boats for all budgets and one of our favourites this month is MOONSTONE, a 62ft Sunreef Catamaran with 4 fantastic cabins. There is no better way to enjoy her this Winter than to host a private dining event with close friends and family in her open-plan saloon. Accommodation is provided in 3 double en-suite cabins and a twin, which are decorated in a contemporary, yet classic style.
