In a few weeks time, all of the best catamarans in the BVI will be heading to Nanny Cay Resort and Marina in Tortola for the 35th BVI Charter Yacht Society Show. From November 7-10, our team of brokers will be attending the show to inspect over 70 catamarans. During the show we will dine onboard to savour the chef’s cuisine and attend many yacht hops to make sure everything is perfect on the catamarans. This ensures that our clients have the best holidays of their lives in the stunning BVIs. The BVI Yacht Show is one of our favourite charter shows to attend and we are all looking forward to it!

Boatbookings Charter Broker Lambros at the BVI Yacht Show
Lambros, one of our specialist Caribbean charter brokers, attended the 32nd Annual BVI Charter Yacht Show from the 7th to the 10th of November this year! He was very impressed with the turnout at this year’s show as well as the quality of yachts present. Read on to see his comments and favorite yachts!
“As last year, the annual BVI Charter Yacht Show, organized by the BVI Charter Yacht Society, took place in Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola, BVI. The 2013 show has been the biggest show so far with a record number of 77 participating boats. In this year’s show, the foremost display was clearly of crewed catamarans which, in an area where crewed cats reign supreme, is definitely on the up… Overall, the level of boats was rather impressive with lots of new entries in the area including many modern boats with professional crews. Also, the existing boats were in pristine condition.“

“Particularly interesting were the new Fountaine Pajot catamarans! These are 3rd generation design models, with an excellent use of space and so many amenities that it would take me forever to mention them all!
Some notable points are:
– They are super eco-friendly boats, incorporating powerful solar panels that render them power-sufficient (when no A/C is used of course!)
– They both feature 5 very spacious interior cabins
– They boast a very clever “tender garage” in the stern, with huge sunbathing areas on top”

Nieves at 32nd Annual BVI Charter Yacht Show, 2013
Our specialist Caribbean charter broker Nieves, attended the 32nd Annual BVI Charter Yacht Show, and was thoroughly impressed! Read here her positive report on this year’s show and see her fabulous choice of favorite yachts!
“The 32nd Annual BVI Charter Yacht Show took place for second consecutive year at Nanny Cay Marina in Tortola between 7th and 10th November. Both the number of participating boats and the attending brokers have been a great success. The BVI Yacht Charter Society organized various events such as the “Travel the Nations Yacht Hop” and the Croker (Crew/Broker) Beach Olympics, which was excellent for enhancing the interaction between Brokers and Crews. Also, the CYBA Annual General Meeting took place on 8th November with a satisfying number of attendees according to the organization.”
Nieves has also selected her favorite yachts featured in the 2013 show from all the amazing boats that were present.

Leather seats and sofas, three spacious cabins with private heads – the forward cabin can be converted into a stateroom with “his” and “her” bathroom. 2/3 double cabins. Captain Berth and Chef/Steward Emily will ensure safety, comfort and super tasty dishes. They love Spanish wines! – there was a bottle of Ramon Bilbao (Rioja wine) in the middle of the table of the boat! And the food they prepared for the Travel the Nations Yacht Hop was delicious, representing the US ’deep south’.”
