Following on last week’s theme of yachts that hold a special place in our heart this year, our final super yacht of the week for 2014 is BLUSH. We’ve been watching BLUSH’s movements since she was revealed earlier this year, a rumoured £25 million new-build from Formula 1 mogul Eddie Jordan. The 47-metre yacht is Sunseeker’s flagship creation and the largest yacht ever built at the British based shipyard. Following her reveal the yachting industry awaited her launch with baited breath, and we were not disappointed!

Luxury Yachts in the Maldives for Christmas and New Year

In early 2014, the Maldives government introduced new regulations for foreign visiting yachts. Previously, foreign yachts were only allowed to stay for 90 days, but this has now been extended to 180 days or more, making it a more attractive cruising destination for large charter yachts. Here are a a couple of yachts which will be in the Maldives later this year.

Having moved to Phuket 18 months ago after a full refit and completing several successful charters in Southeast Asia, this beautiful Broward 121 will be making its way to the Maldives in December. Captain Krill has many years of experience chartering in the Mediterranean and Caribbean and has thoroughly enjoyed his first year in Asia; now he is looking forward to exploring the amazing clear waters of the Maldives.

Trinity superyacht KERI LEE III is one of the most luxurious charter yachts to be found anywhere, with an amazing collection of water toys and entertainment facilities….2 jet skis, a gym, 10 person jacuzzi, sea bobs, kayaks, game fishing tender, water skis, dive compressor and a movie theatre in the sky lounge! She has spent the last 12 months in Thailand, is heading to Myanmar and Sri Lanka for October-November, and then moving south to the Maldives in December, before returning to the Mediterranean for the summer of 2015.

Chartering with the Stars in Ibiza

The mid-summer parties in Ibiza are in full swing and it would seem that anyone who is anyone has upped sticks and set up camp in the Balearic Islands. Welcome Concept DP028: The Stunning Primadonna from Oceanco

Oceanco are renowned for delivering some of the most aesthetically pleasing superyachts in the world. From their headquarters in Holland and sales office in Monaco, Oceanco pride themselves on delivering products that are unbeatable in terms of design, quality and innovation. Oceanco’s impressive team work closely with some of the most talented designers in the world, ensuring that their yachts are always one step ahead of the rest.

Their new concept, DP028, is a remarkable 110 metre superyacht based on an Oceanco hull, which is complimented by black glazing to make the yacht seem larger than it is. Moreover, the darkened glazing makes the yacht appear increasingly streamlined, which is quite an achievement given its size!

One of the most striking features about this 110m Oceanco crewed superyacht is her incredibly low stern, as well as her impressive deck structure. The design flow from the swimming pool on the main aft deck to the spa on the lower aft is visibly stunning, illustrating the attention to detail that has gone into the design of the whole yacht. Primadonna maximises the use of her decks, which flow beautifully into the entertaining spaces inside.
