Summer is the season for eccentric and elite luxury trends; the battle for the most impressive super yacht continues, Rolls Royce invite you to spend the summer in Sardinia, and Dubai add something special to their most iconic landmark…
Oceanco are renowned for delivering some of the most aesthetically pleasing superyachts in the world. From their headquarters in Holland and sales office in Monaco, Oceanco pride themselves on delivering products that are unbeatable in terms of design, quality and innovation. Oceanco’s impressive team work closely with some of the most talented designers in the world, ensuring that their yachts are always one step ahead of the rest.
Their new concept, DP028, is a remarkable 110 metre superyacht based on an Oceanco hull, which is complimented by black glazing to make the yacht seem larger than it is. Moreover, the darkened glazing makes the yacht appear increasingly streamlined, which is quite an achievement given its size!
One of the most striking features about this 110m Oceanco crewed superyacht is her incredibly low stern, as well as her impressive deck structure. The design flow from the swimming pool on the main aft deck to the spa on the lower aft is visibly stunning, illustrating the attention to detail that has gone into the design of the whole yacht. Primadonna maximises the use of her decks, which flow beautifully into the entertaining spaces inside. This is clearly evident in the enclosed spa area on the lower aft deck, where guests can full relax, no matter what the weather is doing.
Accommodation is provided in 7 luxurious staterooms; the master suite takes precedent on the private owner’s deck, incorporating a large saloon, gym and even a private deck with its very own jacuzzi. The remaining 6 staterooms include 4 VIP cabins with private balconies, accommodating 18 guests in total. In terms of performance, Primadonna matches her luxurious accommodation with speed! The top speed is estimated to be 18.5 knots, which is achieved through the use of 4 x 4,290hp MYU 20V 4000 M73 engines.
The team at Boatbookings.com wait in great anticipation for the development of concept DP028. Oceanco will release a model of the stunning 110m superyacht in time for this years Monaco Yacht Show, which is one of the most important and exciting yacht charter shows in the world. Stay tuned for all of the latest yachting developments, including yacht reviews, new releases and our comprehensive destination guides.
Thailand is one of the hottest charter destinations around (figuratively and literally!) and with more and more super yachts available to cruise its pristine waters, it is the perfect destination for a luxury boat vacation.
Following her very successful summer in the Mediterranean, SUNRISE is heading East to Thailand and Malaysia for the winter. One of our favourites here at Boatbookings, she is a 53 m Oceanco with accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 luxury staterooms and has been impeccably designed, crafted and furnished.
Her high levels of performance and comfort are complemented by the brilliant leisure facilities on board – ranging from an on deck Jacuzzi and fully equipped gym to two tenders and two jetskis. There is also a home cinema, bar and sun decks for your relaxation, while the lounge and study offer perfect spots for business affairs.
In such a beautiful boat you may be reluctant to set foot on dry land, but with destinations like the Phi Phi Islands, Phuket and and Pattaya at your beck and call, you would be crazy not to! Some of the best diving spots in the world are to be found here; guest can explore the exquisite turquoise waters where whale sharks, turtles and tonnes of tropical fish reside.

Accommodating up to 10 guests in 5 luxurious and beautifully appointed en-suite cabins, she is ideal for family vacations around the French Riviera, Italy and Croatia. Her features include a top deck jacuzzi, bar and barbecue and zero speed stabilisers which make her one our favourite charter yachts around. Benetti have a range of stunning yachts at this year`s event – be sure not to miss LATITUDE or OCEAN PARADISE – at 52 metres and 55 metres respectively it would be pretty hard to!
Secondly, keep a look out for is WHISPERING ANGEL – a 5 cabin ISA 120. Having been built in 2008 it may seem surprising she has been included in this year`s show, however her full refit last year has made her the floating paragon of luxurious comfort. With a gorgeous al fresco dining area, splash pool on the flybridge, state of the art entertainment system and huge array of water toys, she is a great family or event boat for charter.
Finally, powerhouse Oceanco will be showcasing and unveiling several of their 80 metre and upwards range, including brand new Tim Heywood designed DANA and Nuvolari & Lenard designed RIALTO. These gorgeous Goliath’s of the ocean measure in at 105 and 110 metres, and will most likely steal the show.

Oceanco built LAZY Z in 1997, but you’d never guess her age because this stunning superyacht is graced with a timeless beauty of design and blessed by an owner and crew who keep her meticulously maintained, from the smallest knob on up.
Interior spaces are furnished with an elegant simplicity of design, featuring plush carpeting, supple leather upholstery and rich Indonesian bubinga hardwood against a backdrop of soft silk paneling. The palette of warm wood tones and golden hues is relaxing and inviting. The wide central staircase is a stunning and unusual architectural feature.
LAZY Z has accommodations for twelve guests in 6 spacious staterooms with a special cabin designed to delight children, right down to the teddy bears. With a 29 foot beam the true full width master suite, from porthole to porthole, is wonderfully spacious and filled with natural light. There is also a dedicated gym and the elegant observation lounge is an inspiration.
Even the radio room on LAZY Z is impressive, housing racks of state of the art equipment, including the Kaleidescape entertainment system storing over 3,000 movies, a capacity that exceeds yachts twice the size of LAZY Z.
We are not surprised when we are told that there is nothing on the bridge that is more than 12 months old. The CCTV was upgraded ten months ago; two new radars were upgraded eight months ago. The Servowatch integrated ship control system, which monitors the main engines, generators, bilges, water tight doors, all of those sort of systems onboard, is just eight months old. From comfortable banquette seating guests can peer at the high tech electronic chart system and the forward facing sonar, which gives a 2D display of what the seabed is like ahead.
Out on deck, LAZY Z has fabulous seating under a huge shade awning, and surrounding the Jacuzzi pool, which is only a couple of years old, there’s lots of sunbathing and, of course, you cannot miss the slide. This is a huge hit with all charter guests who, we are told, opt to use it every day. The owner of the boat is 72 years old and he uses the slide, preferring to go down backwards or head first. It’s simply awesome, they’ve had girls as young as three slide down it.
It is quite evident why LAZY Z is a very busy yacht featuring charters in the Caribbean and Mediterranean directed toward young families who, at the end of their charter, eagerly book a slot for the following year. The youthful and energetic crew boasts a guarantee that if you are a charter client on this boat you’ll be back again next year. We have no doubt.

Oceanco continues to push the envelope with futuristic superyacht designs distinguished by never-before-seen features and environmentally conscious engineering. Designed by Russian prodigy Igor Lobanov, Oceanco's 280 ft Project Y708 is no exception.
The ultramodern profile is intended to impart a sense of motion, even when the yacht is at rest, an illusion attributed to the aesthetic continuity of the elegantly angular, beveled superstructure. Exterior spaces include a magnificent 20' x 12' infinity pool that converts to a helipad, a feature first introduced in 2007 on Oceanco's award-winning 267' Alpha Nero, currently available for charter through Boatbookings.com.
Among many spectacular architectural features on Y708 are private guest balconies on each deck and owner’s compartments that incorporate two private decks with whirlpool and sunbathing area, bedroom suite, salon and study. Sweeping aft decks that include a beach club with guest sea terrace further expand voluminous interior spaces characteristic of Oceanco's Y-series.
In the last decade Oceanco has launched several distinguished yachts acclaimed for both innovative architectural design and cutting edge technology. At the Asia Boating Awards this May, Oceanco's fourth in the Y-series 280' Vibrant Curiosity was awarded Best Custom-Built Yacht. Among her many notable features is a three story sweeping vertical expanse of glass amidships.
Oceanco Yachts in the Y-series earn a place among the world's top 100 superyachts, including charter yachts 262' Amevi (Y701), 267' Alfa Nero (Y702) and 245' Anastasia (Y703), each designed to accommodate 12 guests. Please contact Boatbookings.com for charter information on these spectacular superyachts, and continue to check boatbloggings.com for updates on Project Y708, scheduled for delivery in 2012.
