With the French Riviera breathing a short breath of relief following the busiest week of its calendar, we are looking towards the summer season which is just a short time away. ST DAVID is our super yacht of the week, and we were lucky enough to sample some of the fantastic amenities and service available onboard last night in Cannes. The 60m Benetti was built in 2008 as XANADU, having been re-fitted and renamed in 2010 she is in pristine condition for charter.
The French Riviera is awash with celebrities as the 2015 Cannes Film Festival continues and Monaco Grand Prix is speeding towards us. There’s a constant flow of stars flying in and out of Nice airport, hopping on and off yachts in the old port of Cannes and posting pictures all over their social media accounts.
So where are the celebrities spending their time? What are they getting up to when they’re not walking the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals or partying in to the night with other stars at Cannes 2015.
Today marks the opening of the 68th edition of the notorious Cannes Film Festival, possibly the biggest event in the south of France, which is ready to wow with it grand opening. The opening film this year is La Tête Haute (Standing Tall), which stars famous French actress, Catherine Deneuve. The film is directed by Emmanuelle Bercot, who is the first female director to open the Festival de Cannes since 1987.
