A Day in the Life of an Intern, Part II

Internships provide great opportunities to acquire business acumen in a variety of fields, including sales, retail, marketing and HR. Our philosophy at Boatbookings.com, is to provide our Interns with the very best guidance and hands on experience. Our interns do not spend all day photocopying or copying notes, but rather are in touch with real clients, who want to charter luxury yachts all around the world!

So, what does a typical day in the life of an Intern entail?

Our internship is based in Sophia-Antipolis, the business hub of the Côte d’Azur. This provides the opportunity of a lifetime, as interns generally live in prestigious towns, such as Antibes, Nice and Cannes. A typical day could include meeting suppliers to discuss and negotiate rates, as well as viewing their yacht portfolio, to viewing yachts to generate new business. For example, Izzy and Ben recently visited LADY LUCK, a fantastic San Lorenzo 100, accommodating up to 10 guests in 5 luxurious cabins. Our interns have also met clients and recently experienced a days luxury yacht charter to St Tropez, including a visit to the world famous Club 55.

Depending on your dates, Interns will have the opportunity to visit famous boat shows, such as the Antibes Boat Show (April) and the Monaco Yacht Show (September)
