The Tender of the Future for Luxury Charter Yachts

The future of the tender is here! An ‘inflatable island’, which has been designed using the same material from Richard Branson’s hot air balloon in his round-the-world flight is about to be brought into construction. Designers in the superyacht market have followed the trend of high end hotels and brought the model to the yacht market, adding bespoke features such as removable teak decking. “This is a very new product which is just being released to the yachting community and the interest is high,” said Josh Richardson from Superyacht Tenders and Toys. Gone are the days of old fashioned, unreliable tenders, which leave guests trying to stay dry!

Superyacht Tenders and Toys are undertaking the project, which is to be based on the new sea cabana model. In addition to the standard features, such as the sea pool to keep out jellyfish and a lounging area, the tender can be fully customized to your taste and requirements. These can include two ice buckets to keep drinks refrigerated, underwater lighting, as well as the client being able to choose the outer colour of the shell.

You may be wondering why everyone is getting so excited about this concept and why it is necessary? This product is able to offer something that others cannot. It provides guests the chance to pull up extremely close to the shore line for their dinner reservations. Moreover, it provides a relaxation area away from all ambient and engine noises of their yacht. You can truly find yourself at one with the ocean! The ‘ultimate in luxury’ sea cabana comes in two sizes: medium (4m by 5.25m) or large (4m by 7m), which can accommodate up to 20 passengers. It can be inflated in 15 minutes, towed at low speeds behind a tender and anchored separately from a yacht. Build time is approximately four weeks, depending upon customization and current orders.

AZZAM – The New Largest Luxury Yacht in the World!

Roman Abramovich no longer owns the largest luxury yacht in the world! He has held this title for over three years since the launch of ECLIPSE – the 536ft goliath that has been prowling the world’s oceans with impunity. However now a new contender has come onto the scene and has smashed the record for the largest luxury yacht sailing today. She is called AZZAM and at a whopping 590ft long she blows ECLIPSE out of the water. Meaning ‘dedication’ in Arabic she has pushed boundaries in an industry that many thought had plateaued in terms of the length and luxury of the yachts.

Peter Lürssen, a Managing Partner of Lürssen proudly proclaimed: “When she will be delivered later this year, she will have been in build for only three years following one year of engineering.” He goes on to add, “She truly represents another milestone in not only our history but yachting history as well.”

Much of this building of AZZAM has been shrouded in mystery – it is reported that she is to be delivered to a Arabian owner in the autumn after completing her sea trials. Names such as Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud, a member of the Saudi Royal family and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates have been put forward as potential recipients of this magnificent yacht but nothing is as yet confirmed.

It was designed by Nauta Yachts and constructed in Bremen by Lurssen under the watchful eye of lead engineer Mubarak Saad al Ahbabi. Although we know the interior was designed by Christophe Leoni, little else is know about the inside of this luxury yacht. However she is likely to have many of the extraordinary features that ECLPISE has – bullet proof glass, armor plated suites, swimming pools, helicopter pads, cinemas, submarines and a fantastic array of water toys to name just a few! However what we do know about the yacht is enough to say with certainty that this is one of the most fantastic luxury super yachtsdesigned to date. Not only is AZZAM the largest luxury super yacht in the world but with 94,000 horse power behind her she is also capable of cruising at speeds of over 30 knots – 5 quicker than ECLIPSE despite being 500GT heavier! A Guide to Mexico: A Luxury Day Charter to Isla Contoy from Cancun

Spring break has finally drawn to a conclusion and there is no where bigger to celebrate your vacation than in Cancun, Mexico. Graced with incredible sandy beaches, clear waters and some of the best nightlife outside of the United States, it is clear to see why Cancun has become so popular.
