We’ve got our eye on the BVI! In just a couple of weeks time, Nanny Cay Marina will host the autumn BVI Charter Yacht Show, and some of our brokers are headed to Tortola to examine the best crewed catamarans currently available for your BVI catamaran charter, which is highly likely to start from Road Town, Tortola.
As the largest island in the British Virgin Islands, Tortola is also the most populated of the islands. The majority of charters will start in Road Town, which is reminiscent of a typical Caribbean town, but with a more commercial feel to it because it is a hive of activity, with charterers coming and going, and picking up provisions before heading off the explore the Caribbean Sea.
Tortola has a whole host of beaches and bays, so you are sure to find a quiet spot where you can soak up the sun while lying in the sand, search for seashells and snorkel in the crystal clear waters. Heading inland from the island’s shores, the landscape is mountainous, sculpted through the islands previous volcanic activity, so is great for any hikers in your party who want to stretch their legs.
From Tortola, you can explore the other islands of the British Virgin Islands. Maybe you want to see the impressive rock formation of The Baths on Virgin Gorda or a sample party at Foxy’s or the Soggy Dollar Bar, complete with Painkiller cocktails, on Jost Van Dyke? If you do, send a charter request to Boatbookings to organise your charter. As well as catamarans we can offer luxury motor yachts, sailing yachts and bareboat charters; there is something to suit everybody.
