Callwood Rum Distillery, Tortola

Your inner Jack Sparrow is calling you to the Callwood Rum Distillery, where for over 200 years, generations of Callwoods have kept up the tradition of pot distillation. The process, by which large copper pots are used to produce spirits, entrances all the senses as you walk through the age-old distillery. Hand-bottled rum lines the shelves of the old stone building, and just outside, in front of the sugar cane plantation, lies the charcoal-powered boiler emitting the sweet smell of sugarcane being turned into rum. Take a tour while you’re here to learn more about the deep history that connects this amber liquid to the islands people love so much. Careful, though, when sampling some of the products, or you might not make it back to the boat!
Benures Bay, Norman Island

Along the coast of Norman Island, just north of The Bight, lies Benures Bay, a quieter anchorage appreciated for its excellent visibility for snorkeling and picturesque views. The crystal-clear waters, characteristic of the Caribbean, make for perfect snorkeling conditions. Make some new friends as you dive under the surface with a SeaBob and see how many different colored fish you can count. Alternatively, explore the shores on your own time aboard a paddleboard or kayak. The calm waters are perfect for an easy paddle across the bay. If you anchor here for the night, be sure to take in the sunset, as it is particularly stunning here.
Rainbow Canyon, Pelican Island

With turquoise waters, brilliantly colored corals, and an abundance of sea life peppering the waters, Rainbow Canyon is idyllic for charterers who are looking to dive. Just north of Norman Island, on Pelican Island, this islet boasts alluring dive sites overflowing with sea turtles, eels, and nurse sharks. It sits about 60ft below the surface with a low current, making it a great site for beginning and advanced scuba diving. You might want to bring the underwater camera while you’re at it, to make the memories last even longer.
Key Bay, Peter Island
With room for only 2-3 boats, the highlights of Key Bay speak for themselves. The anchorage is rarely used due to its small size; however, do not let that stop you from reaping the benefits, because there are many! The limited capacity translates to a serene bay with calm waters, making it a romantic stop for honeymoon charters, a peaceful retreat for hard workers, and a quiet space for those looking to get in touch with the sounds of nature.
If you are feeling adventurous, take a hike up the hill and be rewarded with stunning, panoramic views of the Caribbean. Be on the lookout for wild goats as you make your way up; they will most likely be peacefully grazing on local flora.
Cistern Point, Cooper Island

On the western coast of Cooper Island, just off the shore, a large rock protrudes from the blue waters, marking the vibrant ecosystem of Cistern Point. These shallow waters and abundant rocks and craters create the ideal environment for many fish, turtles, eels, and even a few nurse sharks. Only accessible by dinghy, it is less visited than some of the more popular sites, meaning charterers often have the reef entirely to themselves—perfect for leisurely swims and intimate dives.
Fallen Jerusalem, Virgin Gorda
If you enjoyed the enchanting caves of The Baths, head just south of Virgin Gorda to visit Fallen Jerusalem, named for its rocky landscape that resembles ancient ruins. The island is uninhabited, making it a tranquil spot perfect for escaping the crowds. Similar to The Baths, Fallen Jerusalem boasts underwater tunnels and caves teeming with marine life. Here you can snorkel with sea turtles, explore age-old caves, or stretch out on the sand and soak up the warmth of the Caribbean sun.
Lobster Trap, Anegada

Let’s not beat around the bush: trying lobster on Anegada is a MUST, and what better way to do it than grilled on an open wood fire with a view of the water? After undergoing some renovations, Lobster Trap is open and ready for business. Their friendly staff is excited to welcome you in, chat about their favorite snorkeling spots, and hear about your new favorite water sport. While you indulge in culinary perfection, look out over the water; you might just spot someone kitesurfing!
While on Anegada, consider a self-guided tour on a motorized scooter. The easily navigable roads are great for feeling the wind in your hair and sun on your skin. Check out different beaches, bars, and perhaps even the Flamingo Pond Lookout to spot our pink-feathered friends.
B-Line Beach Bar and Restaurant, Little Jost Van Dyke
Only accessible by dinghy, the B-Line Beach Bar and Restaurant is an understated gem hidden away on Little Jost Van Dyke. Grab a Passion Confusion, the bar’s signature cocktail, and play a round of cornhole. We promise, the more you drink, the better the game gets. Alternatively, relax in one of their lounge chairs overlooking the serenely still waters while the lingering smell of slow-cooked BBQ hangs in the air. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, dig into your meal and revel in the solace of a quiet beach.

Hendo's Hideout, Jost Van Dyke
Specialty cocktails, mouthwatering food, and fresh-off-the-boat sushi await you at Hendo’s Hideout. Right next door to Soggy Dollar, Hendo's is a great place to go when the crowds get too heavy. It may not be Margaritaville, but the island vibes would make even Jimmy Buffett proud. Try their take on a Moscow Mule, called Delirious Donkey, featuring citrus vodka, as you take in the shockingly blue waters of White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. At night, watch the pink sky and string lights turn this beach bar by day into an enchanting evening spot. Kick off your shoes, grab an evening cocktail, and enjoy the time and space with friends and family.
Cam Bay, Great Camanoe
When the crowds become heavy on Scrub Island, and you are in the mood for a quieter experience, head to Cam Bay. Sheltered by a shallow reef, it makes it harder for larger boats to make it through to the bay. Meaning the waters stay calm, and the noise level dies down to provide a stark contrast from the more populated areas. Take out the snorkel gear or paddleboards, or simply swim around the clear waters. There is also a nice stretch of beach that will most likely be deserted, perfect for a romantic picnic spot. If you feel up for a walk, there are short trails that lead to Lee Bay on the West side of Great Camano, where you can check some birds off your bird-watching list.
