Located in the southern end of the Grenadines, Grenada is an island country made up of Grenada and six smaller islands including Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Grenada is perfect for adventure seekers and beach dwellers alike; the landscape is unspoilt whether you want to soak up the sun on a sandy beach or trek through the Seven Sisters Waterfalls rainforest.

Throughout Grenada, the islands, village names, architecture and spoken dialect all reflect the country's history and culture built through the South American and European settlements. So take the chance to explore some of the country’s history while you're there, learn about the course of events that caused the change from colonialism to democracy, all while enjoying the warmth of the Caribbean sun.

Head to Carriacou and Petite Martinique; both boast some of the most beautiful coral reefs. The larger island, Carriacou, gained its name from the reef; the 'Land of Reefs' has clear shallow waters, which are ideal for snorkeling.

Island inhabitants are fiercely traditional; Carriacou celebrates its African musical heritage at the Maroon and String Band Music Festival that is held each April. The French first inhabited Petite Martinique, and the islanders have since made their living from boat building and fishing, which they have mastered throughout the years; make sure you witness this and hear about the history that the island is built around.

The country's capital is St George's, which is found towards the south of the island of Grenada. To the north of Grenada, you will find St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago are located south of Grenada, just some of the countries that you can visit on your Caribbean yacht charter!
