A Hidden Spot of Paradise on the French Riviera – Enter Zelo’s World!

When chartering on the stunning French Riviera, it goes without saying that you should embrace the relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle and enjoy a long lunch at one of the famous beach clubs that attract the rich and famous every summer. If you’re looking for something different to the usual spots on Pampelonne Beach or La Croisette why not try something a little different? Introducing Zelo’s World…

Tucked away in the secluded bay of Beaulieu, Zelo’s Beach is a stand-alone club with a dark, wooden and welcoming exterior. Walking in you are greeted by friendly service and a super-trendy nautical blue and white theme. Heading down into the lounge area you’ll find ample seating with stunning views of the dramatic cliffs climbing up to historical Èze village. On the beach, a variety of loungers, sun beds, regular beds and beds for 4 are available meaning whatever your group the helpful staff will set something up for you. On the menu is a fabulous range of sushi, fresh salads and the all-important catch of the day. The party generally gets started around 4pm with an in-house DJ and extensive cocktail menu for those looking for something a little more upbeat.

Beaulieu is the perfect destination for your charter whether you’re beginning your day in Cannes or Monaco. Enjoy some water sports in the stunning bay of Èze, followed by moving west where the Zelo’s tender service will pick you up for lunch. One of our favourite day charter yachts of the moment is HIGH ROLLER. A new addition to the yacht charter market, this 32 metre Baglietto truly stands out from the crowd with her sleek grey styling and unusual glass ceiling. Extensive water sports options on board make this an exceptional day charter experience that you cannot find on other yachts.

HIGH ROLLER has a special reduced rate for the remaining dates of the 2014 season, enjoying a €6,000 weekly discount or €1,000 per day! Contact us for more information on chartering this stunning yacht with highly dedicated crew.

The Palme d’Or in the Port of Cannes – The Best at the Film Festival 2014

Cannes is alive and buzzing with anticipation for the famed Film Festival, beginning on 14th May. The iconic Carlton Hotel has been decorated to almost unrecognisable lengths promoting the latest Hollywood blockbusters such as the new Transformers movie and The Expendables 3. The beach clubs have been transformed into concert venues, party spaces and meeting areas and last but not least the prestigious old port of Cannes is filling up with the world’s finest super yachts ready to house the biggest names in film! We’re in Cannes looking at the most iconic yachts at this year’s Festival de Cannes…

In yachting size really does matter, and taking up the “Quai du Large” this year is MOGAMBO. An award-winning design from Nobiskrug, she has a simple yet truly effective exterior with mysterious grey hull and huge windows flooding the interior with light. The sleek exterior almost disguises the fact that MOGAMBO is of colossal size, weighing in at an impressive 73.55 metres. Comprising of three decks of contemporary opulence, this luxury super yacht offers everything from a beach club to a hair salon and meeting spaces to saunas. Impressed? MOGAMBO’s price tag is €600,000 per week, with a minimum charter period of 10 days.

In a world where tradition is everything, with white and blue being the norm, standing out is key. For Roberto Cavalli, standing out comes in the form of a beautifully painted pearlescent hull. From some angles the 40 metre Baglietto super yacht glows in a stunning teal, but see her in port and she’s a striking purple. Self-named RC isn’t on the charter market so we cannot confirm the interior but from the social media snaps of celebrities such as Made in Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli we see multiple animals prints and extravagant patterns. What else would you expect from such a famed designer?

Enticed by the beautiful Balearics and the magic of Spain, but put off by the extra 21% payable in VAT? An update in Spanish law regarding VAT means this worry could disappear if you choose your yacht wisely! Until October 2013, only yachts up to 15 metres engaging in charter activity were exempt but on 28th the 15 metre specification was removed. Therefore all yachts flying an EU flag and exclusively engaging in charter activity are now exempt from taxation, and this includes paying for your vacation!
