Luxury Yacht Charters at the Antigua Yacht Show 2012

The prestigious Antigua Yacht Show 2012 commences this Sunday at the Nelson’s Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. This charter yacht show presents 98 vessels on show ranging from crewed sailboats and catamarans to super yachts, making this show the ideal opportunity for brokers to take a look at the very latest luxury yachts available for the upcoming charter season in the Caribbean. The show grew in popularity with the increase in  tourism, as Antigua became an accessible destination, which prides itself on its hospitality, the friendliness of the locals and the fact that part of the island has dedicated itself to the servicing of the yachting industry.

Past shows have proven successful, yet we believe the Antigua Boat Show 2012 is about to exceed all previous shows. Firstly, the yachts on show this year are the best that we have seen, with the latest Sunreef Crewed and Power Catamarans, prestigious Nautors Swan monohulls and luxury CRN super yachts. Attendee’s will also be able to see the worlds largest catamaran HEMISPHERE on show this year, which is definitely worth a visit after our great review of her at the Monaco Yacht Show 2011.

One of the boats that we are most looking forward to see is the luxury sailing yacht REE, a 115 Valdettaro, with accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 sumptuous cabins. She epitomises the style, elegance and quality of all of the yachts on show at the Antigua Boat Show. This Ververk 228 epitomises luxury and is the perfect yacht to entertain a large number of friends and family, with accommodation for up to 26 guests in 13 cabins. Each suite is extremely spacious, measuring from 30m up to 50m squared. She features a BBQ, Jacuzzi, Jetski’s and enough water toys to keep everyone entertained for hours. Rolex Watches U.S.A Extends Support for US Sailing

On the 26th November 2012, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island (a great place to charter a yacht!), US Sailing and Rolex Watch USA announced that the prestigious brand of watches would maintain it’s support of the sailing’s national governing body. At the same time as maintaining it’s position of being the US Sailing’s official timepiece and title sponsor of the US Sailing’s Rolex Yachtspeople of the Year Awards, on Monday, Rolex explained it would increase support by becoming a patron of US Sailing’s Afterguard and Medalist programs.

The Afterguard is US Sailing’s highest level donor program, with a mission of leadership, integrity and advancement for the sport of sailing in the United States.  Afterguard donations fund restricted projects of mutual interest between donor and the organization as well as unrestricted gifts to support operations.  The Medalist Program supports the Olympic Sailing Program whose mission is providing a path to Olympic and Paralympic pre-eminence for the sailors of the United States.

Rolex has long viewed US Sailing’s role as critical to the development of the sport in the U.S.A., and this new era in the relationship not only builds on the partnership that the two organizations have forged over three decades, but also continues the encouragement and promotion of excellence while highlighting the rich traditions of sport.

Luxury Yacht Charter in Singapore

Brand New Lürssen Super Yacht Project ‘GLOBAL’

Luxury yacht manufacturer Lürssen has had an extremely busy and successful 2012, launching five super yachts over 85m.
