Designed as a palace dedicated entirely to art and science, the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco, founded by Prince Albert I has been an iconic part of the legendary Rock of Monaco for over a century. From the exquisite facades to the decoration in the salons, this magnificent building takes you into the fascinating world of the ocean. With over 6,000 square meters and some 6,000 specimens on display to feast your eyes upon, the museum offers a welcome cultural contrast from the bustling Riviera, with an emphasis on protecting the oceans.
One of our favorite features of the museum is Bushnell’s ‘Turtle’ submarine – one of the first manned submarines in existence, built in 1776 out of wood and designed to be propelled under water by an operator who turned its propeller by hand!
While we cannot offer you a wooden submarine, we can offer you the cream of the crop of super yachts available on the French Riviera for touring this not-to-be-missed region. One of the best in her class is the stunning 90 ft motor yacht LIVE THE MOMENT, sleeping up to eight guests in four cabins.
Her beautifully maintained interior presents a spacious, comfortable and zen space which evokes the feeling of ‘a home away from home.’
LIVE THE MOMENT offers vast outside dining and relaxing areas. This includes a generous aft deck table, sun pads on the bow and her immense flybridge, where you will find a sociable layout for eating and simmering down to watch the sunset.
