On board AGATA BLU, your journey through the Cyclades, Greece, is shaped by an experienced crew of 4 led by Captain Luca Pignatelli, whose career spans everything from private yacht guiding to Atlantic passages. Luca’s progression from deckhand on the 74 ft BLUE DEER to first mate on S/CAT LUCY Z and captain of Gyrfalcon reflects a deep familiarity with yacht operations and guest expectations. His qualifications, including STCW training, lifeguard certification, and IYT Master of Yachts 200GT Ocean credentials, provide a solid safety net beneath every decision he makes on the bridge. With Chef Vasil Spasov, Stewardess Martina Nikolova, and Deckhand Jacopo Di Girolamo contributing their expertise, AGATA BLU feels like a finely tuned environment where you can truly unwind.
Around the dining table, Chef Vasil Spasov brings a sense of discovery to each course, using his 14-plus years as an Executive Chef to interpret the flavors of The Cyclades in fresh, contemporary ways. His background in recipe creation, culinary innovation, and kitchen management across renowned European establishments means he can shift effortlessly from elegant plated dinners to relaxed family-style spreads, all while keeping quality and presentation at the forefront. Menus can be tailored to dietary preferences, themed evenings, or spontaneous cravings, so your culinary experience feels personal rather than preset. Martina, with her rich hospitality experience as a restaurant manager and chef stewardess, complements his work by presenting each service with warmth and polish, ensuring every meal feels like an occasion.
Out on deck, the atmosphere is supported by the capable presence of Deckhand Jacopo Di Girolamo, whose passion for the sea and sports keeps energy levels high and operations secure. As a licensed sailor, sailing instructor, and lifeguard, he is comfortable managing lines, tenders, and water activities, guiding guests safely into and out of the sea. His polite, sociable nature makes it easy to ask for help, whether you are gearing up for a swim or curious about sailing techniques. Working alongside Martina, he helps maintain spotless decks, well-arranged lounging spaces, and a relaxed onboard rhythm that lets you experience the Cyclades in comfort and confidence.
