Getting There

Anguilla is most easily accessible through St. Martin and Princess Juliana International Airport. Once you land it is only a six-mile trip north to Anguilla.

Alternatively, you can fly directly into the Anguilla-Clayton J. Loyd Airport, which has now been expanded to accommodate private jets.

The Flag of Anguilla

Although the two islands of St. Martin and Anguilla are geographically close, they are worlds apart in terms of their character. Anguilla lacks the deep-water ports for large cruise ships that St. Martin has. Instead, it has become a sought-after destination for smaller private charters because of its natural beauty and the privacy it affords many celebrities and wealthy visitors who frequent the island. Stylish and elegant, Anguilla welcomes the good life but at the speed suited to the more casual island lifestyle.

Must-dos in Anguilla

Visit the exclusive Malliouhana spa/hotel. This beachside escape is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon being pampered!

If you are looking for a little more action, the most popular beach on the island is Shoal Bay. Famous for its offshore reef and beach bars like Elioda’s, Gwen’s Reggae Grill, Uncle Ernie’s BBQ, and Madeariman’s Reef Restaurant, this busy beach attracts visitors galore and offers loads of activities like touring the reefs in a glass-bottomed boat.

But don’t worry, you don’t have to deal with the buzz of Shoal Bay to find a thriving beach bar. At Junks Hole Beach on Savannah Bay, Palm Grove is a beach bar specializing in rum drinks, crayfish, and lobster. The New York Times described an experience here perfectly, "Happiness awaits…”.
