Charter Payment Schedule

Boatbookings' Breakdown of Payment Schedules for Luxury Yacht Charters - Updated for 2026 & 2027
Payment for your luxury yacht charter vacation is straightforward, and the Boatbookings Charter Experts are available to assist along the way. Below, you’ll find key information, including deposit amounts, installment deadlines, and payment terms to help ensure a smooth and seamless booking experience.
Payment Schedule
50% of the base charter fee will be due upon signing the contract.
The other 50% of the charter fee is due 60 days before embarkation. In applicable destinations, the APA and VAT will be added to this payment.
Generally, the charter payment schedule will be broken down into two installments, as outlined above. Crew gratuities are paid separately at the end of the charter and are at the discretion of the charterer. Additionally, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. As Boatbookings does not work with or offer insurance plans, it will need to be outsourced.
Payment Method
The charter fee, APA, and VAT must be paid via wire transfer. Payment by credit card is not accepted at this time.
Day Charters
For day charters, 100% of the charter fee is due upon signing the contract. This includes day charters along the French Riviera and Spain.
Last Minute Bookings
For charters booked within 60 days of embarkation, 100% of the charter fee is due when the contract is signed.
