Every night is on fire as you immerse in a unique Croatian and Montenegrin cruising experience aboard the 53-meter custom sailing yacht MAIA and savor the comfort of her 6 premium cabins for 12 guests.Your Charter Crew:
Your time on MAIA begins under the guidance of Captain Filip Jakir and his seasoned crew of 10, who collectively transform the coasts of Croatia and Montenegro into your personal cruising ground. Filip’s lifetime connection to the sea, from family yachts to classic ships and Caribbean charters, means he knows how to read conditions, select anchorages, and set a pace that feels both adventurous and reassuring. Close at hand, Chief Officer Petar Kljajic combines nine years of yachting with a foundation in hospitality, while Deck and Engineer Dominik Dujmovic and Deckhand Dominik Filip Seric bring technical training, electronics knowledge, and extensive small and large vessel experience. With this team managing MAIA’s navigation and operations, you can relax into the scenery knowing that safety and seamanship are constantly in focus.
Onboard dining is where MAIA’s Adriatic story becomes deeply personal. Chef Ivan Marsanic, with a decade in bistros, fine dining, and yacht galleys, pairs Mediterranean flavors with Asian influences, creating menus that feel light, expressive, and perfectly suited to warm summer evenings. Beside him, Sous Chef Kresimir Trosic, an award-winning interpreter of modern Mediterranean cuisine, uses local, seasonal ingredients and smaller, precisely executed portions to showcase Croatia’s gastronomic heritage in fresh ways. Indulge in bespoke recipes crafted by Chef Ivan, supported by Sous Chef Kresimir’s creativity, and be spoiled with a daily dining spree as you take in the shifting vistas of Croatia and Montenegro from deck or saloon. Chief Stewardess Rafaela Karla Vidic ensures that each service, from breakfast buffets to multi-course dinners, flows smoothly and feels as relaxed or as structured as you prefer.
The rest of the crew adds layers of comfort that you feel in every part of the yacht. Stewardess Tamara Gaspar brings strong organizational skills, literary studies in American culture, and an enthusiastic, guest-focused approach that keeps the atmosphere light yet attentive. Stewardess and Masseuse Klara Klaric, with her background in midwifery, first aid, and cabin crew safety, offers a calm presence, expert care, and soothing treatments that make recovery from a long day in the sun a pleasure in itself. Housekeeper Marija Laco maintains an immaculate interior while drawing on her culinary and childcare experience to support families and special requests with ease. Supported by the steady technical oversight of Dominik Dujmovic and the dynamic deck work of Dominik Filip Seric, MAIA becomes a finely tuned environment where your only real task is deciding how you want to experience Croatia and Montenegro each day.
7-Day Sample Sailing Yacht Charter Itinerary in Croatia and Montenegro:
Your Croatian escape begins the moment MAIA’s gleaming hull comes into view in Split, her 53-meter custom rig ready to carry you along the islands at your own pace. Over a seven-day Croatia sailing itinerary, days stretch easily between underwater adventures, historic harbors, and long, layered meals that make time feel slower. You might spend the morning drifting over shallow reefs, the afternoon following a private guide through ancient walls, and the evening on deck with a curated menu and Croatian wine as the sun melts into the horizon. Behind the scenes, the Boatbookings team and your crew adjust the plan to your mood, making each anchorage and shore stop feel like it was chosen just for you.
When MAIA greets you again in Kotor, the Adriatic takes on a different personality, trading islands and promenades for mountain-framed water and quiet inlets. From the first lines slipping away from the quay, your Montenegro yachting itinerary settles into a pattern of bright anchorages and scenic cruising that feels almost meditative. One day you might drift in calm bays with long swims and tender explorations, the next you are wandering stone streets and pausing in waterfront cafés to watch local life unfold. As the charter draws to a close, the coasts of Croatia and Montenegro blend into a single mental map, with MAIA at the center of every standout view and shoreline memory.

Overview:
First impressions of MAIA tend to start with the way she sits on the water, a 25-meter custom luxury crewed sailing yacht that looks both classic and completely current along the Croatian and Montenegrin shores. She is built for ease, gliding through the Adriatic with a smooth motion that makes it effortless to move from one anchorage to the next. Every refitted detail, from lounging zones to recreational spaces, has been designed so that relaxation, socializing, and fun happen naturally, without ever feeling crowded or rushed.
Deck life quickly becomes the heart of your day, starting with the aft deck that opens out like an outdoor living room, shaded and welcoming, where the crew sets an alfresco dinner that tastes even better under a Croatian sunset. Dalmatian scenery wraps around you as the conversation flows and the plates keep arriving. When the light turns soft, mornings call you forward to the cushioned sunbathing area on the foredeck, where you can watch the horizon brighten with a coffee in hand. Later, you drift up to the sundeck for a panoramic view of Dubrovnik, taking it all in from plush seating before you dock to explore the city’s culture and storied walls, then return on board for a refreshing session in the jacuzzi.
Move inside, and the mood becomes intimate and welcoming. MAIA’s cozy saloon, complete with a dedicated dining area, is perfectly sized for small gatherings, whether you are celebrating a special moment or simply enjoying a change of scene from the deck. After a day filled with swimming, exploring, and good wine, retreating to her cabins feels like stepping into a curated retreat; each one is well-appointed and features its own ensuite bathroom, so mornings start fresh and unhurried.
Beyond the yacht herself, MAIA’s true luxury lies in how she connects you to your surroundings. You can dedicate a day to the energy and buzz of iconic Dalmatian beach clubs, where the shoreline feels alive with music and clinking glasses, or opt for something quieter and head toward Vis, where colorful marine life waits just below the surface. With a thoughtful selection of water toys on board, those waters are not just scenery but an active part of your day, giving you yet another way to enjoy the Adriatic.

The use of all personal watercraft, including jet skis, is permitted only if the operator holds the appropriate license and complies with local operating regulations. In the Mediterranean, we recommend that all guests interested in obtaining an RYA Personal Water Craft (PWC) license use the water toys onboard safely.
