Hands down one of the most surreal trips of my life. The Virgin Islands never disappointed, especially seeing sea turtles swimming all around me. This trip would have been nothing without our amazing crew of Rita, Risa and Captain Marcus. Our charter date was something we were all looking forward to for many months with great anticipation. We were not disappointed! From first stepping aboard RELENTLESS, it felt comfortable and safe. Of course, the Sunreef catamaran is outstanding in every respect but it was the crew that made all the difference, making our trip unique and unforgettable. Captain Brandon, we wanted to thank you and your fabulous crew for making our 5 night trip around New England one of the most memorable vacations we have ever had. The boat is beautiful and spacious. The salon and master were very very comfortable and beautifully decorated in contemporary design. With your sea knowledge, we were able to navigate some difficult weather with ease and avoid some others. The highlight of the trip was the impeccable service by your crew. Being able to dine in the salon in bad weather, aft deck or fly bridge in good weather added to a great experience. Perhaps most memorable for the entire experience was Chef Thierry. He was outstanding. His meals of locally sourced products were better than the off boat meals we had in Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Rave reviews to him. The crew attended to our every desire and anticipated our pleasures way beyond our expectations. The chef worked around our dietary request (gluten-free) and made each meal a culinary treasure. The crew were fun and engaging but respected our privacy when we wanted to be alone. The skipper was expert, flexible and kept us informed at the ideal level for each of us. Ocelot sailing experience is truly amazing. Between our 3 couples, we have traveled the world and this week with Kate and Richard is our favorite travel experience. The moment you board the boat, they make you feel at home. The boat has an abundance of lounging areas that allowed all of us to find places to relax and enjoy sailing. Richard is a knowledgeable captain, taking us to islands, snorkeling spots, and luxurious bays each day. Last but certainly not least, Kate’s cooking is delicious! She has a sweet way of catering to each guest and for us she was truly the gem of the Caribbean. This is the trip you can’t miss. Can’t wait to sail with Richard and Kate again. We had the pleasure of chartering Blue Pepper for a week this June for our family of 5 + two teenage friends. The kids ranged from 13-20 years old, 2 girls and 3 boys. In the past we have been lucky enough to go on many yacht trips in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, primarily on boats in the 150’-200’ range.
Our experience on Blue Pepper was exceptional. While Blue Pepper itself is very nice, new, comfortable, nice linens, well equipped with large outdoor seating area, the service is really what set the trip apart. The crew was not only capable and professional but they worked really hard to provide thoughtful and unique experiences. The crew was kind, genuine, fun, service oriented and a true pleasure to be around.
Starting with the chef, Denise, who is a Brazilian energizer bunny with a passion for life. Her culinary skills were amazing and on par if not better than the much larger yachts that we have been on. The flavors, presentation and absolute attention to detail made a huge difference in our trip. She was always catering to the individual tastes of each guest, far beyond what was expected. Also, we really enjoyed hearing her crazy life stories as icing on the cake!
Captain Taylor is a professional who is a truly a boy at heart. He really made it a trip of a lifetime for our kids. He was always coming up with the next thing for them to do, taking them inner tubing, off road atving, fishing, snorkeling, on adventures around an island, etc. Also, I think he was having as much fun as our kids were. He is just a great guy.
Liz the stewardess, is a sweetheart, always quietly there to cater to all of your needs, constantly keeping the boat and cabins in immaculate condition. Never intrusive but always there in the background to ensure the service was great.
In the end it was hard for us to leave as we felt that Denise, Taylor and Liz were part of our family. I highly recommend them for your next charter experience.
The crew on Blue Pepper was outstanding. The crew and the boat were perfect for this trip (in May time) and we couldn’t be happier. As you know, the crew is always the difference maker.
