Croatia Yacht Charter | Rogoznica
Rogoznica lies in the southernmost part of the Sibenik-Knin County in a deep bay sheltered from the wind, about 30km far from Sibenik in the centre of Dalmatia, Croatia.
Rogoznica is a beautiful fishing village situated on a peninsula with a naturally protected harbour; the sea is very deep which enables all kinds of yachts to find safe berth there.
The peninsula comprises a former mainland part, Kopaca - populated in 1390 - and the islet of Kopara Rogoznica connected by a causeway in the present village of Rogoznica - which was where in 1518 the inhabitants fled the Turkish army to safety.
Appealing attractions for visitors to Rogoznica include thick pine forests, long coastal pathways, pretty little beaches, islets and bays, the beautiful yacht harbour of Marina Frapa, the small chapel Our Lady, the parish church, and the salt lake 'The Eye of the Dragon' which is set amid limestone rocks.
Or you can sail to the national parks Krka waterfalls, Kornati islands and Plitvice lakes, or the historic towns close by, Split, Sibenik, Trogir and Dubrovnik.
