Things to do in Dubrovnik Old Town
Walk the Dubrovnik Ramparts
You could spend days just admiring the views from the ramparts - and for those who are physically able, they are a must-see. The ramparts almost completely encircle the old town (except the marina entrance), span 1,940 meters (6,360 ft), and are in excellent shape. The views are incredible at every turn, and there are several restaurants and drink stands where you can stop along the way.
Explore the Old Town
The old town of Dubrovnik offers endless alleyways to explore, giving you a sense of life in Medieval times. They are narrow and steep in places, and provide multitudes for surprises such as tiny gardens and art displays. Some key historical sites include Dubrovnik Cathedral, Rector’s Palace, and Onforio’s Fountain.
Take the Cable Car above the city to Mt Srd
The cable car is accessed just above the ramparts and provides an amazing view of the city and coastline. You can even go late in the day and watch the sunset from high above Dubrovnik.
Game of Thrones Tour
Game of Thrones fans will recognize many familiar areas of Dubrovnik, as it was the location of Kings Landing. Look for the Red Keep, Blackwater Bay, and the stairway of Cersei’s “Walk of Shame".

Dive off the rocks below the ramparts at Buza Bar
Buza Bar is located through a portico below the ramparts on the south side of the Dubrovnik Old Town. It offers a cold beer, many levels to put your towel on, and the ability to watch (or participate in) hundreds of visitors and locals jumping off the imposing rocks. Especially memorable at sunset. A truly extraordinary experience!

Dine in the Old Town
The old town offers dozens of restaurants to meet everyone's needs from pizza to Michelin-starred gourmet experiences. The city cools down at night, offering a mesmerizing romantic atmosphere when dining outdoors. Dubrovnik offers a Michlin 1-Star restaurant, 360, if you are a foodie. For a Mediterranean/Asian Fusion experience, try Azur.
Have a Gelato in the Marina
There are two gelato shops right near the marina, where you can rest and enjoy your favorite flavors while watching the boats in the port.

Go to a Nearby Beach Club
Dubrovnik can get very hot during the summer, so we recommend going to one of the many beach clubs near the old town to cool off and also enjoy a good meal. Favorites include Banje Beach, Coral Beach, and Sveti Jakov (St Jocob's) Beach. Buza Beach/Bar, pictured above, is right in the Old Town, below the ramparts.
Most Croatia beaches have small stones, not sand, so you may want some good beach footwear! Also, if you want a lounge chair or parasol you will need to pay a small charge. Make sure you bring a towel, most clubs don't supply them.
The ACI Dubrovnik Marina

The main charter marina lies near Komolac about 2 Nm from the entrance to the port of Gruz and only 6 km from the old city nucleus. Open all year round, the marina has 450 berths and 110 boat places on land; all berths have water and power supply.

Key Questions about Dubrovnik
Is Dubrovnik worth visiting?
Absolutely yes. There's something for everyone - history, natural beauty, great food, beaches, even a Game of Thrones tour. If you're in Croatia, it's a must-see.
Is Dubrovnik too touristy?
While Dubrovnik can get overcrowded during the high season, it's a must-visit and the crowds can be avoided. Explore the city before 10 and after 4, and you will not have any horrible crowds. Head to a beach mid-day to avoid the worst crowds and get the full Dubrovnik experience!
Can we moor in Dubrovnik?
Not in the Old Port. While there is a Marina in the old town, there are no spots for charter yachts. You can moor at a local island, and head over to Dubrovnik in your tender. You CAN anchor just outside the old port (near Banje beach) for a few hours to watch the sunset, do water sports, or take in the magnificence of the ramparts.
If we start our Charter in Dubrovnik, is it easily accessible by air?
Yes. Dubrovnik has a modern international airport about 30 minutes from the ACI Marina (and the same distance from the Old Town).
