Do I need to bring my passport?
No. If you are an American citizen, you can travel to Puerto Rico without your passport. When chartering from Marina Puerto Del Rey, you can travel anywhere in the Spanish Virgin Islands. If you wish to travel to the neighbouring USVI or BVI, you will have to bring your passport.
If I fly into San Juan, how do I get to Puerto Del Rey?
We can arrange a taxi service for a low flat rate that can come and pick you up from the airport and bring you to the marina. You will have the opportunity to provision on the way for no extra charge, making this option both very good value for money and convenient.
Do I have to do my own provisioning?
No. We are happy to arrange your provisioning for you. All you have to do is to send your food and drink requirements and we will have it ready for you once you board. If you wish to provision yourself, there is a local supermarket close to the marina, as well as Wal-Mart and Sams Club. Please note that all provisions are charged at retail value.
Whats included on my yacht?
On your yacht, you will find sheets, blankets, pillows, pillow cases, bath towels and face cloths on board. Thus there is no need for you to bring your own. You will find all cookware provided, including utensils, a coffee maker, as well as all cleaning products.
Snorkeling equipment, tool kits, paper charts and cruising guides for all of the Virgin Islands will be provided.
Where do I provision once I have left Puerto Rico?
You will be able to find places to provision on both Vieques and Culebra. You can restock and refuel here, as well as the major islands in the USVI and BVI.
Is ASA certification required to charter bareboat?
No, all you require is to submit your sailing resume and whatever experience you may have.
GPS, Autopilot, SSB. VHF, Snorkelling Gear
