There are several mooring balls at the Wreck of the Rhone (no anchoring, it&#8217;s a national park!).<\/p>\n<h2>The Wreck of the Rhone<\/h2>\n<p>Immediately upon diving in you see a huge sunken ship stretching out into the depths, most obviously the huge propeller and the long drive shaft. A stunning sight!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19212\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19212\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.32.26.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19212\" alt=\"Marker for the Wreck of the Rhone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.32.26.png\" width=\"700\" height=\"477\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19212\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marker for the Wreck of the Rhone<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what it looks like when diving through the propeller area:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/REw0Xvi3tGg?rel=0\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>We then set sail for the famous &#8220;Baths&#8221;, an amazing rock formation at the southwestern tip of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/yachting_content\/virgin_gorda_charter.php?bbr=bblog\">Virgin Gorda<\/a>.\u00a0 We anchored just off of the beautiful beach at Spring Bay, had lunch, and then took the dinghy over to Devils Bay Beach.<\/p>\n<h2>The Baths<\/h2>\n<p>The Baths is a collection of granite boulders as large as 40 feet in diameter that look as if they&#8217;ve been dumped by a huge truck. The were formed when molten lava cooled slowly and formed a hard crystalline granite layer. Shrinkage and cracking formed blocks, which are visiable today because the softer  rock has worn away.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19206\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19206\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.35.30.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19206\" alt=\"The Baths Rock Formations\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.35.30.png\" width=\"700\" height=\"470\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Baths Rock Formations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There is a nice path with steps and handrails through the rocks of the Baths.\u00a0 Best to do the hike early or late in the day, as it can get hot and crowded &#8211; spoiling your ability to just enjoy nature.\u00a0 Kids will also love swimming in the pools around the rocks.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19208\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19208\" style=\"width: 699px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.35.03.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19208\" alt=\"Enjoying the Baths\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.35.03.png\" width=\"699\" height=\"513\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19208\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Enjoying the Baths<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19210\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19210\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.33.52.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19210\" alt=\"Walking through the Baths\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatbookings.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Screen-Shot-2013-04-21-at-22.33.52.png\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19210\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Walking through the Baths<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After enjoying the baths, the beaches, and a nice climb up to the bar\/restaurant above called &#8220;top of the Baths&#8221; where you can get a refreshing drink or lunch, we headed up Virgin Gorda on the way to the Bitter End.\u00a0 This beautiful coastline has\u00a0 some of the most exclusive beaches and homes in the world &#8211; several movie stars call it have houses along the route.<\/p>\n<h2>The Bitter End Yacht Club<\/h2>\n<p>The North Sound at Virgin Gorda is well protected by islands and reefs, making it an ideal bay to anchor for the night.
