About Phuket Raceweek
The 5th Six Senses Phuket Raceweek consists of 4 days of professionally run, international-standard yacht racing off Phuket’s east coast, and is one of Asia’s fastest growing regattas. The event takes advantage of strong low season monsoon breezes, and is held at one of Phuket’s top 5-star resorts, the Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa on the island’s south east coast. With racing over 4 consecutive days, and 5 nights of parties, Phuket Raceweek provides a good balance between fun and serious competition.
Phuket Raceweek was founded in 1984 as a mixed fleet regatta in South East Asia. Between 5 and 7 classes of yachts race each year, with an emphasis on hard competition during the day but lots of fun each evening.
Racing classes have included Fireflies, Corsair Trimarans, Racing Multihulls and Premier Multihulls. The number of yachts continues to increase each year, with almost 30 yachts competing in 2007 and more expected in 2008.
The number of parties also continues to increase each year, with everything from exclusive cocktail parties on luxury yachts, the ‘Pig Roast Party’ at the Big A Resort, and live music, happy hours and parties at the Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa every afternoon and evening.

A variety of yachts are available to charter at Phuket Raceweek, either to watch or to join in!
Boatbookings can organize the ideal yacht for you to watch the races and participate in the parties. If you are feeling very adventurous, there are a limited number of places to actually take part in the racing by being a crew member on some of the participating yachts.

Location and Getting There
Phuket Raceweek is based at the Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa, the sponsoring host venue for the third year running. Evason is widely accepted as the definitive regatta venue in Phuket, with its waterside regatta HQ, Regatta Tavern and party venue.
The Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa is located at Rawai Beach on the southeastern side of Phuket Island. It is set amongst 64 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens, facing the Andaman Sea. Traveling time from the airport is 55 minutes. It is about 20 minutes to Phuket town and 25 minutes to Patong Beach (the night life area of Phuket).
