The America's Cup Regatta is just one of the many events and races that will be held in Valencia in 2009.
The Louis Vuitton Cup Finals will be held in April through June, with all the contenders from countries such as the USA, Italy, Spain, and China competing for the right to meet Alinghi to attempt to dethrone the 2 time champion.
Yachts from all over the world (and many celebrities and racing personalities) will again flock to Valencia to watch the races, consume great quantities of Champagne and Tapas, and enjoy the festivities.
Valencia is Spain’s third largest city, situated on Spain's beautiful Costa Blanca - on the Mediterranean with holiday destinations such as Mallorca, Ibiza and Barcelona within cruising distance. It has a rich history, beautiful sunny weather, and of course offers famous Spanish cuisine - Valencia is the heartland of Paella!
