HFL Weekly Report - Week 4 Final
Gentlemen,
Neal and Steve were both at Double D’s tonight, and sat side-by-side giving each other shit all evening. (For those of you who missed it, this was truly an HFL moment. Too bad you weren’t there to witness it.) Brady struck first, giving Nails 6 points. (This was after the Pat’s had tried 2 running plays from the 1.) On the next series Palmer hit Housh (not Nails’ condom) after Johnson (Nails’ condom) was tripped up on the 1 yard line. But Nails got the extra point, and the lead was down to 12. Then Moss caught 1 from Brady--condom play, no change in the delta. From the 7, Cato’s RB ran one in and put a pin in Nails’ dreams. Ah, but then Graham nailed a 40-yard field goal and pulled Nails within 6. Graham hit another 5-pointer in the 4th quarter and Steve’s lead was down to 1 point. But with 3 minutes left in the game Brady hit Moss (Steve’s condom) again, and it gave Moss Performance Points. The game ended with Steve up 6 on Nails--another skin-of-his-teeth victory. The next-closest game was between AlvaRhino and Shid. AR had a 17 point lead going into tonight’s game. Shid had Housh and Watson going. Housh scored an early TD and got exactly 100 yards, but Shid fell short and AR posted their first victory of the season. JisM led Cato by 28 points. Poor Cato is down to playing a dead guy with all of his RB injuries. Maroney didn’t even suit up, but Cato played him anyway. Sammy Morris got 11 points, and the NE D got 2. But JisM (coached by nervous coach Harris) was never in danger of losing this game. PapaOno clenched High Points of the Week with a 69-point showing this weekend. With 4 players in double digits (including 16 from Damond Huard and 15 from Dwayne Bowe) you gotta believe that PO is coaching their team to excellence.

It was one of those CLASSIC HFL games. It wasn’t a high-scoring affair, but there was drama until the very last snap of the ball. Steve had the Lifetime edge of 22-15-2 coming into this weekend. Going into tonight. Steve had a slim lead at 13-1. Nails had Brady, Welker, Chad Johnson (condom), and Graham up tonight, while Steve had Palmer and Moss (condom) playing. Every score had the chance to be a lead-change, and every play had the chance to be a game-breaker.
No doubt, PO left it all on the field this week, since they got high points and had 0 points on the pine. That’s Coach of the Week honors if there ever was one! Pete had 53 points left pining away in his loss! In a game where the Steelers only scored 14 points, Santonio Holmes posted 21 points on Pete’s pine. (How’s that for alliteration.) Coaching really does make a difference in the HFL!
