Beneteau’s commitment is to the continued evolution of the sailing product with the 440 at the leading edge.
This time the emphasis has been both technology and styling, by relocating the helm station (steering wheel) from the back of the boat to the center above the salon. A technological breakthrough, as you are in fact moving the center of gravity requiring much larger sails.
Ergonomically, this creates so much more space to move around the boat, as the ropes from the Genoa (the front sail) tie back to the winches on the top rather than the side of the boat.
Two other improvements are the extended seating at the helm station (room for six), and the addition of a forward cockpit seating area, which will be a tremendous spot to enjoy and feel the motion of the boat while under sail.
The interior salon has the distinctive “lagoon” 360 panoramic view, and is directly accessible to a second (exterior) salon through sliding glass doors.
Featured in the main salon are a comfortable L-shaped sofa and chairs, music and video, a built in bar, and a full galley kitchen.
The guest cabins are particularly well appointed with queen beds, ample drawers and closets, and - each with an adjoining private bathroom. All of the cabins and the interior salon are individually air-conditioned.
