The Gib Sea 43 was awarded the Cruising Worlds Boat of the Year Award for Best Production Boat under $200,000 for the year 2001. This did not happen accidentally as the Dufour Gib Sea series was designed and developed after extensive consultation with boat buyers and users around the world.

Uncluttered space, light and airy interiors finished in fine teak, superior headroom throughout, defined and accessible vital technical access, along with superb engine access are built into Gib Sea models.

Accommodation is provided by 3 double cabins plus a convertible double bed in the salon. In the forward double cabin, there are also 2 small bunk beds suitable for children.

The yacht comes with snorkelling and fishing equipment, a cockpit bimini, and a dinghy with outboard motor. It is also equipped with solar panels.
