Do I have to share a gulet with people I don’t know?
Never. You cannot book a true private yacht by the cabin charter. Instead, you get to have the whole gulet — and you get to decide who joins you onboard.
How can I possibly afford a private gulet charter vacation?
Actually, in many cases, a group of ten will pay less for a charter than they would for a cruise ship vacation. Even couples used to traveling onboard high-end cruise ships can find comparable bargains when cruising onboard private yachts with their friends.
Do I have to know how to drive/sail a gulet?
Absolutely not. You can learn, if you want to and you can act as your own captain if that appeals to you, but there is a licensed crew which will take care for your safe cruise.

Can we change the route during cruising?
When you decide to book you usually decide on a general route, whether we go south or north from the embarkation port. Of course adaptations can be made. We usually make detailed plans for the following day each evening when I (Captain) sit with you and we go through next day and determine the time for breakfast, route, where you want to stop, swim, anchor,… If we come to place which is to crowded or you simply do not like it, we cruise further. As a Captain, I am responsible for your safety and need to consider also weather conditions and other unpredictable conditions that can jeopardize the safety of the cruise. In this cases, I decide for the best route.
What is so special on private gulet cruise?
Personalisation. Because each gulet charter is a personalized vacation onboard with a specific crew, its impossible to describe a typical day onboard the same way you might for a cruise ship. However, there are certain areas where gulet cruises and cruise ships or other type of vacation definitely differ.
LIFE ON BOARD
Upon arrival on a gulet you are assisted into your cabin which you will find fully prepared:
clean bed linen, shower towels
and sun-bathing towel with
other facilities.
Accomodation:
After that, a welcome meeting with welcome drink is held on deck for brief info regarding the cruise route and any questions about the life on board.
The cruise starts right after, or next day, according to your arrival time or the weather conditions.
Usually the daily duration of cruising is not longer than 3-4 hours and the rest of the day can be spent in some magnificent bay enjoying the sun and the sea. Besides sunbathing on the deck and swimming in clear waters, you can make use of the boat´s fishing equipment, snorkel, scooter, water-ski or do some other water activity.
Dining usually takes place outdoors, around a large table on the afternoon deck, although there is a separate dining area in the main salon. A sun awning provides shade, so the possibility of outside dining, watching our beautiful sea and nature, is priceless. And if rain surprises us, you can still enjoy being on the deck!
During the evening, the gulet is anchored in some port or outside the port, depending on the available places in ports. You can spend the evening outside the gulet, visiting historical sights, having dinner in one of the excellent restaurants (konobas with live music) in the port or enjoying the nightlife. If you would like to have arranged guided visits of certain spots, maybe some hiking, cycling, jeep tour – let us know, we will organise it for you.
My other crew members – Cook and Waiter - are very professional. They are occupied with every detail on the boat. The cook is always a master in doing his job, and prepares specialities of the local cuisine (Dalmatian) always consulting with you what you like or dislike and prefer!
