Tioman is the biggest and most impressive island on the east coast of Malaysia, and with beautiful white beaches, clear blue seas, a tropical rainforest and dramatic mountain peaks that run down the spine of the island in the shape of the dragon princess’ back it is hard not to fall in love with this peaceful haven.

Tioman was also chosen as the mythical Bali Hai in the film version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical ‘South Pacific’. Yet despite this free publicity, the island remains fairly secluded and ready to be discovered.

Tioman has excellent coral reefs and is perfect for sailors looking to indulge a passion for diving and snorkeling. If the mood takes you there is also an excellent golf course at the Berjaya Tioman Beach, Golf & Spa Resort with breathtaking views out over the sparkling sea.

Charter yachts are only available in Tioman between about April to September, due to the monsoon wind patterns in Southeast Asia.
