Guadeloupe Charter Yachts and Sailing Vacations
Guadeloupe Charter Yachts and Sailing Vacations
Guadeloupe - largely undeveloped and brimming with natural beauty - consists of the twin islands Basse-Terre to the west and Grand Terre to the east, along with several smaller islands. Basse-Terre is a thickly forested mountainous island of volcanic origin. Grand-Terre is a limestone island of coral origin with low hills rising to 150 meters and extending through the central and southern part of the island. The archipelago offers a mix of modern cities, rural towns, rainforests and secluded beaches, as well as rum production, which tends to blend well with any Caribbean charter.
Guadeloupe was a French colony and as such offers the height of the Caribbean`s Creole culture - a blend of French and African influences with a bit of spice.
Guadeloupe offers excellent line-of-site and offshore sailing as well as spectacular diving (including the Cousteau Underwater Park), marine life, waterfalls, cliffs and amazing scenery.
